Latin Grammy winning, Argentine-born, Brooklyn based producer Pablo Aslan created Mash-ish in 2019 to explore the confluence between tango and Afro-Latin American music.
With a particular focus on the music of Brazil and its relationship to the original sound of tango, Aslan set to explore rhythms and repertoire with a wide variety of artists.

For this Special Edition of Mash-ish, Aslan brings together musicians in Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, and USA, in a multi-faceted celebration of New Tango master Astor Piazzolla’s centenary.
Melding Afro Brazilian percussion with Piazzolla’s unique style of contemporary tango and milonga, fusing bandoneons with trumpets and flugelhorns, the voice of Luana Mallet, and Aslan’s pulsating bass, Mash-ish creates a tribute that speaks to the present and the future.
